(oh and did I mention they implemented basic animation for other players and a mp display for the other players vitals in that time too?) It's not a matter if this WILL be a thing, it's simply how awesome it will end up being. Is that "fully functional"? It seems more like a "we got a few small things working sync". I also didn't see the 2nd player docking a Seamoth/Prawn while the first player watches from inside the Cyclops. It doesn't exactly seem like a "full sync" compared to the vibrant amount of wildlife I normally see, I can't go 5 feet without plowing into a spadefish. Where were the stalkers as they were driving straight through the kelp. Do you have any other videos of the mod you'd like to share? I did also see a peeper in the players inventory though, so I'll count that as two fish. I did notice a few bladderfish swimming around after re-watching the second video so I do stand corrected that they got 1 type of fish in the game, but did not see anything else. Where did this whole "can't even handle a peeper" delusion come from? Have you even bothered to check the mod out or are you just assuming far too much? Stop the disinformation campaign. There has been full sync of flora and fauna for 3 months already, and syncing of bases and inventories for over 2 months, and just in the last month they have vehicles synced and fully functional. Gametweeka eredeti hozzászólása:I'd say that perspective that you are praising as "realistic" is slightly off. I'd imagine it would take the actual game devs like a week to make videos like the ones posted here, but it would be a waste of time and they have better things to work on to hit the release schedule, which they're already running behind on. If they even tried releasing videos like that as "teasers" they'd get torn apart by pretty much everyone about how unpolished it looked. If it's just some rando posting an open source mod though? It's just the "early days" of course! LOL. Of course if it's an official release, they can't get away with making some ghetto mod, like seen in the videos in this thread. Even the devs have said co-op is something they MIGHT add AFTER release. I'm well aware the "basic premise is there", it's always been there. What kind of schedule should I have for a co-op mod that can't even handle a peeper? Again, they can't even get a single fish into the game. Uhhh, I'd say I have a "realistic" perspective. I am not the one throwing around decade release schedules. The basic premise is there, a finished title and some time and they could have exactly the mod you are after. Given that you are oh so keen to play Co-Op you sure have a "unique" perspective on release times. It is early days yet and considering how many were adamant that this was impossible it is ray of hope. Which one? It's open source, literally anyone can contribute to the mod. What makes you think they won't use a janky early access version that would be easier to mod, instead of the feature complete release version? What makes you think that when the game is released and feature complete, the mod will be able to keep up? The mod is already several stable releases behind. not a really logical line of thought is it. But considering the fact that the game itself it not yet feature complete I doubt a mod would be. NathanD eredeti hozzászólása:A lot of people do. As modders we get the freedom of a lower bar. Sunrunner - Today at 9:41 we support the subnautica developer's decision to not include multiplayer. There are some edge cases around cross-batch syncing that we have not fully ironed out (you can see my previous conversation with nes to get context) In the current version, most entities are spawning, moving, and syncing appropriately We'll look to adding a server.cfg to fix this I can give some background on fish not movingįirst, the server doesn't start up with any environmental configs so there is a hard coded entity spawning path. P.S here is the mod's plan for what they are going to do!ĮDIT: they changed there plan find it here! But we don't have any misconceptions about how much work it is going to be to get a fully working and polished multiplayer version of SN done." "We fully support the effort Sunrunner is putting into this mod, and are as interested as everyone else to see how it turns out.
